Substances - Meth: How Long Does It Stay in Your System?
Methamphetamine has a longer half-life than most stimulants, remaining detectable in urine for 3-5 days after a single use and up to a week or more with regular use.
Meth Half-Life and Metabolism
Methamphetamine has a half-life of approximately 10-12 hours, meaning it takes much longer to clear the body than cocaine (1-hour half-life). About 54% of meth is excreted unchanged in urine. It is partially converted to amphetamine, which is also detected in drug tests. A standard urine drug test for amphetamines will detect methamphetamine.
