Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) are the highest level of outpatient addiction treatment, classified as ASAM Level 2.5. PHP provides the intensity of residential care without requiring an overnight stay. You return home each evening, which allows you to maintain family connections while receiving focused clinical programming during the day.

How Long Does PHP Last?
PHP duration varies by clinical need and insurance authorization, typically ranging from 2 to 6 weeks. Progress reviews occur weekly. As clinical goals are met, patients step down to IOP (9+ hours/week) and eventually to standard outpatient. The full continuum of care at Archangel Centers supports this step-down process seamlessly.
